Happy Day of Emergence!

I received the sweetest and heartfelt email from a friend of mine yesterday!  It was not only an early birthday wish, but also took the time to tell me how much they've enjoyed being apart of my life.  I was truly touched and had to read it about 5 times to make sure I wasn't dreaming!

The last statement read, "You Are Absolutely Divine! Happy Day of Emergence!"

I've been through a lot in my 28 years and more recently over the past 4 years!  Yesterday I celebrated my 28th Birthday and in August I will celebrate 3 years of being in remission from Stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

The message really touched me and since then I have been reflecting on that statement:

What it means to be divine? How one can emerge from the trials of LIFE!

Definitions from my Mac Book
     divine 1 |diˈvīn| adjective ( -viner -vinest )
1 of, from, or like God or a god
• devoted to God; sacred informal dated excellent; delightful emergence |iˈmərjəns| nounthe process of coming into being, or of becoming important or prominent • the process of coming into view or becoming exposed after being concealed
I am divine because I come from God and he dwells within me.  Through my testimony, I continue to emerge as LIFE births new obstacles.  Through all these trials and ones to come I choose to:  Smile everyday Remain in a POSITIVE frame of mind (does wonders when you find yourself around toxic people) Show gratitude and grace towards others and most of all Myself  Listen more Protect myself and my time.  Learn to say NO! Strive to live for God and water my spiritual garden!
The area that has always been difficult is taking the time to truly take care of ME. It was easy when I just had cancer to fight.  Now I have a job, responsibilities, committees, projects, etc.  This year, something has shifted in my spirit.   I've started doing some things differently and am Emerging and coming into view for Myself.   I've been powering through and have seen some really great results.  Every time I've gone home, I am met with..."Have you lost weight?"  or "Girl, you look fabulous!"

My hope for this blog is that I will stay accountable for the changes I'm striving to make and in turn Inspire others to do the same.
